Crozon, France

Anse de Morgat in Crozon proved to be a memorable, and somewhat necessary, stop for us. It offered welcome shelter from the less-than-ideal weather, and we also needed to rendezvous with a fellow boater (thanks Erwan) who was kindly returning the outboard engine's fuel can and lines that we'd accidentally left behind in Brest!

The weather encouraged us to tackle a few boat projects, including laying a new floor and replacing the gas alarm. Lachlan, ever resourceful, spent some time making paracord bracelets, while Michael… well, Michael mainly grumbled about the weather.

Most importantly, Anse de Morgat was where we celebrated Lachlan's 10th birthday! He's been an absolute superstar this trip, truly embracing life on the water. He's picked up so many new skills, gaining confidence as he learns to sail and mastering knots and line-tidying. He can now proudly identify different markers in the ocean, having learned his buoys with impressive speed. We simply adore our cheeky, generous, and happy-go-lucky boy, and we can't wait to see all he achieves in the coming year!

True to tradition, Lachlan was made to walk the plank! His birthday celebration was nothing short of spectacular, featuring a thrilling RIB tour of the local caves, exhilarating tubing, a delicious dinner of moules marinières, followed by a delightful homemade lemon meringue, and, of course, far too much French candy! Happy Birthday, Lachlan!
