Lanzarote and La Graciosa, Canary Islands
We arrived in Lanzarote just in time for the tail end of Storm Claudia. After two days at sea, we spent another two on the boat in a rolly but fairly well-protected anchorage.
After a quick visit to touch ground in Arrieta, we headed back north to visit La Graciosa. There we enjoyed a walk around Montaña del Mojón, more wakeboarding, some gorgeous sunsets, and snorkelling with rays.
We then returned to Lanzarote and spent a few days resting in Calero Marina. We took a day trip to Timanfaya National Park to see some geothermal experiments and learn about the fascinating geography of Lanzarote. The boys enjoyed a camel ride around the volcanic region—they said it was bumpier than some of our sails! 🤣
Next stop: Gran Canaria, where we’ll take a break for Christmas and hopefully catch up with some friends and family.
